Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Nothing. That's right, our service is completely free for companies, there is no catch. But then how do you make money? Lia earns a success fee from candidates, not companies, in case they get hired via her intro. It amounts to 20% of their first month, not year, paycheck.

What is your candidate profile?

Lia’s network is composed of engineers who hold a degree from Stanford, with a wide range of years of experience. Most of them are Software, AI/ML, and Data engineers, but there you can find all types of engineers. We’ll expand to other alma maters and profiles sooner than later.

Are your candidates recent grads?

No, Lia’s network includes both recent graduates and experienced Stanford engineers with various levels of industry experience.

How does Lia get my open positions?

Lia automatically scrapes your job openings from the internet, you just need to provide her with your company’s website. You can also manually input positions not posted online.

If you want to hire just for your team and not for your entire company, Lia won’t scrape your positions online and will instead only consider the ones you manually input.

How does it work?

After you sign-up, Lia starts searching and emailing you candidates that align with your open positions. In her email, you will see two buttons: YES and NO. Click YES so Lia can talk with the candidate and try to schedule a call between you two. Or click NO and provide feedback – like a regular person, Lia learns with feedback, and will use it to find a better match next time.

You can also use your portal to see all candidates from Lia’s network and ask her to introduce you to them. Lia will instantly check if the candidate is interested in a connection before she makes the intro – like a regular person, Lia doesn’t like to waste her social capital.

How to train Lia?

Lia will use the information from your job descriptions to search for candidates on your behalf, as well as your feedback. Use your portal to edit your open positions and feedback so Lia starts using your updated info into her matching.

How does the matching work?

Lia uses her AI powered brain to analyze your job requirements and instructions to match them with candidates' skills, experience, and preferences.

Are there humans involved?

While we use AI in our processes, our (human) team works hard to build and maintain relationships with our candidates, 'networking' on your behalf.

What if we already use other recruiting services?

Lia can complement your existing recruiting efforts. She has access to Stanford talent that might not be actively looking to change jobs. Think of her as an additional source of top talent.

Is there any commitment?

No, we just ask you to click Yes or No to the candidates Lia sends via email, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
